Amazon doesn’t reassure me

I recently received this email from Amazon:

Hello,

We are writing to let you know that your e-mail address and phone number were disclosed by an Amazon employee to a third-party in violation of our policies. As a result, the employee has been terminated, and we are supporting law enforcement in their prosecution. No other information related to your account was shared. This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to take any action. If you receive unsolicited emails, please contact Customer Service at https://www.amazon.com/contact-us

Sincerely,

Amazon Customer Service

I am not sure I trust Amazon. How would I even know if I received unsolicited emails that were attributable to the breach?  Thanks Amazon.
